Our Heart, Our Story

We believe that the focus of every Christian should be reaching the world with the message that Christ gave us in his word.

We centre our preaching and teaching on the Word of God (The Bible). We encourage people to express heartfelt praise to touch God’s heart (Worship) and we encourage people to communicate with God and intercede for those in need (Prayer).

By humbly serving each other we serve our Lord (Godly Servant Leadership). And we encourage education for all ages, we are never too old or too young to learn, especially about an infinite God and His love for us (Discipleship). We encourage strong and healthy families where love, acceptance and forgiveness thrive (Family).

Bible & Prayer

With these six core values we are able to fulfill our urgent mission which is…

To develop Christlike individuals to reach a lost world

We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testament Scriptures, were written by people that were led by the Holy Spirit. They were written for everyone and they share God’s heart for humanity. We believe them to be entirely true and we shape our life by them.

We believe that there is only one God who is eternal. We know him as He has revealed Himself (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.)

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary, by which he came into the world to save humanity of the guilt and condemnation of sin. He offered his blood to pay sin’s price, making forgiveness available to all who have faith in him.

We believe that we were created for fellowship with God. We share the story of all who have lived – created innocent, but lost that innocence through disobedience. As a result death became our experience. This was to God’s great displeasure.

We believe that when a person trusts Jesus Christ, he/she is made right with God. Sin is forgiven and peace is made with God. Nothing can separate those who truly believe, from the love of God. They are kept by God’s power through faith. The sure proof of this is a consistent trust and growth toward Christlikeness.

We believe the Church is everyone who has ever embraced Jesus Christ as Saviour. The church finds local expression in a group of believers who organize themselves for the purpose of worship and service.

We practice Baptism and Communion as visual evidence of connection with the family of faith.

Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in Christ. Baptism is a symbol of forgiveness and cleansing in Christ, of faith in Christ and surrender to Him. It is a symbol of the work of Christ – his death, burial and resurrection.

Communion is a commemoration of Jesus’ dying love, and symbolizes the fact that through faith, the believer is continuously fed and nourished by Christ.

We believe that Jesus will come again: This time to gather his people, judge the nations, defeat Satan, and fill the earth with his glory.

We believe that there will be a resurrection of those who have believed to experience the joy of heaven. Those who choose not to believe are raised to judgment. The believer will not experience condemnation, for he/she has already passed from death to life.
