What To Expect When You Visit
When visiting a new church you may have questions. We want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you!
When are the services?
The Worship service begins at 10:30am
The Service includes worship that highlights the Sunday theme through music, prayer, and teaching from God’s Word. We celebrate communion monthly.
Seasonally (September – June) you are welcome to arrive at 9:40 on Sunday mornings for Discipleship Class time or to socialize in the foyer.
How do I get there?
Our Address is 6161 County Road 86, Listowel Ontario
Our Church is located just west of Listowel on County Road 86. (.5 km west of the roundabout on the south side of County Road 86.)
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking behind the Church. There are designated parking spots closer to the Church main entrance for those that have difficulty walking such as Seniors and Families with young children.
What should I wear?
Expect to find a wide range of dress. It’s not uncommon to see people wearing jeans and a T-shirt; others prefer to put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too. Please wear whatever you are comfortable in.
Is your church totally accessible?
The Church building is completely wheelchair accessible including accessible washrooms and a lift to the upper level if needed. For those with visual issues, we are able to provide large print words for the Worship Songs.
Please make us aware of any ways in which we can support you, and we will try to accommodate your request.
Where do my kids go?
Seasonally we offer Children’s Worship as the perfect place for your children to go while you attend the service. If you would like your children to go to Children’s Worship, then they will be dismissed part way through our Worship Service. All adults and youth who work with children have been certified through our protection policy.
Our nursery is safe and clean and staffed by a loving group of approved volunteers. Check-in is required. This will help our volunteers to communicate with you if needed during the worship service.
All volunteers supervising children have met the requirements of our protection policy.
Children are always welcome in adult worship. As a matter of fact, we believe it is very important for our families to worship together.
Am I expected to contribute to the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Listowel Baptist your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to Listowel Baptist Church.
